Administrative Associate (part-time)

Starting pay is $22.66 per hour (DOQ)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Administrative Associate to support the Public Works department. This position will be part-time up to 28 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support, handling communications, organizing files, and coordinating schedules within the department.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years administrative support experience in an administrative role, preferably in a public works or government setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Public Works department, including handling phone calls, emails, and mail
- Maintain and update departmental files, records, and databases
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for department staff
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure the smooth operation of the department
- Perform general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
